  Analytical trend after broadcasts?

  i'm not sure if you ever share analytics data.. but i've been noticing a trend.

  it seems that every time a new jw broadcast, we get a seeming increase in new members the week after.. does the data show that?.

  After the demise of the magazine page (and the profits which went with them) the GB turned to the Satanic Internet for salvation.

  Alas!............... the Watchtower organisation had appeared plausible to many when written about on the page... but seeing rather than imagining the GB and Santa's little helpers, is embarrassing. Surely this is the harsh reality; it is the visual experience of the Watchtower dystopia which shows exactly what the org is all about. Is this the paradise governance? Are these men your bosses forever? Heaven forfend!

  Had I seen Flodin's crummy demonstration when I was a doubting JW, I know it would have been the last straw for me. Is Flodin an undercover apostate? His manner is that of a man who has had a lobotomy... (the others seem to have various incisions into the temporal lobes).

  Was he subversively telling fellow doubters to "Use your loaf"? Keep up the good work Brother Flodin.

  having spent at least 20 million years acquiring the machinery to survive on dry land and hundreds of millions more diversifying and exploiting every conceivable niche, a number of landlubbers made their way back to the sea.. among these were pond snails, water spiders, water beetles, crocodiles, otters, sea snakes, water shrews, galapagos flightless cormorants, marine iguanas, penguins and turtles.

  of course the most impressive example of all are the whales and their little cousins the dolphins.

  these have gone all the way back to an aquatic existence as have dugongs and their close cousins the manatees jointly known as the sirenians, they don’t even come ashore to breed.

  in the last few weeks it seems that instead of one or two new posters a week we seem to be getting several every day.

  many seem to be long time jw's who are troubled by the path of the organisation.

  this is really encouraging to those of us who have been here sometime.. welcome!

  Yep, quite agree Freddo, JWs are dropping like flies. The GB will say it's a sign of the times.

  With what must a fruitless campaign to restore leavers and apostates back to the fold, will they make capital of this and say that the drawbridge, so to speak, has gone up.They would then put all the emphasis on remaining faithful to the Borg, not so much looking for new members as much as staying on board?

  It would be one way of explaining away the disillusionment within and the lack of interest in the org generally.

  Any person or religion which goes on and on about "Truth" has surely got something to hide.

  The Watchtower is one of the most elaborate propaganda machines designed to keep its followers in the thrall of its deluded leadership. Glad to hear you are mentally awake...and looking forward to more of your story.

  Quality of newer membership

  on a previous post mamacita29 pointed up the low quality of new jw converts.. is the quality falling even more as the society use lower than low meeting, talks, broadcasts etc.. when i was active initially the organisation and standards seemed totally different today.

  i have seen hard working intelligent elders fall by death or exhaustion.

  the younger generation that came along never really grasped responsibility hence shortage of good elders, never mind the watered down to almost nothing quality of meetings.

  @ Village idiot, "Satan eating his children"...That's the way to do it, said Mr Punch. No new converts then it has to be feed off your own children. What happens though when there are no new converts and your own children leave the Borg?...party time!

  I agree with you Bonsai and Macys, I joined the local Humanist group and heard interesting people who genuinely wanted to help their fellow humans.

  One word of advice though, don't treat such an organisation as a substitute religion!

  The only sensible alternative to JW indoctrination is a broad and evidence based, critically examined education.

  All religion crumbles when examined on the basis of testable facts and events which are sceptically considered.

  To be a JW is to be gullible...be sceptical instead.

  Pandora's Box is now open!

  hi everyone, i have been lurking for some time now and decided to open the box (hence pandora).

  about a year ago i became aware of child abuse within the org, out of curiosity (just like pandora) i opened the box and the evils have been pouring out ever since regarding the org.

  anyway, this came to a head last summer with the arc.
